GivePulse Community Engagement Platform

Our goal is to build a culture of excellence and community engagement at the University of Mississippi. GivePulse is one of the tools we utilize to elevate and celebrate those efforts. This platform helps create an infrastructure that can sustain excellence over time and promote community engagement in the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) community. GivePulse connects volunteers, professionals, civic leaders, faculty and staff, and students with unique, exciting, and educational opportunities for social change. Community Partners can use this platform to advertise volunteer and internship opportunities and be connected with other groups and organizations engaged in many types of services, causes, and areas of interest. The platform is very user friendly for both volunteers and the organization leaders who post opportunities on the site. 

 

The University of Mississippi is investing in GivePulse so that we are better able to understand the impact our students are making in the LOU community and beyond. Furthermore, we want to highlight and showcase the amazing work that our community partners are doing to create positive changes for all of our residents, students included. By logging volunteer hours and impacts in GivePulse, we can quantify impacts and engagement in Oxford by all community volunteers. We can more easily see which organizations are thriving in our community and which may need a helping hand to do their best work. Our goal is to support our community partners to the best of our abilities. GivePulse offers one more way that we can stay connected and offer that ongoing support.
