Equitable and Inclusive Search Committee Trainings
Search committees are a crucial part of our hiring process at the University of Mississippi. As we continue our commitment to diversity and inclusion, it is important to ensure that our process is fair and equitable. These workshops will focus on how to diversify applicant pools, eliminate biases and potential discrimination in the evaluation of qualifications and identify missteps in the sorting and selection of potential candidates. All faculty/staff members and graduate assistants (administrative, teaching, or research) are invited to participated in this training; potential search committee chair, unit/academic leadership (deans, assistant deans, department chairs, directors, AVCs, etc.) are highly encouraged to participate.
